Parking - Changes for Boyn Hill

Changes are being made to parking in the Boyn Hill area, these will remove some 70 commuter car parking spaces from along Boyn Hill Avenue, Lower Boyndon Road and Grenfell Road. by restricting parking to remove the hours 8 am to 11 am thereby eliminating the commuter.

This action will displace this commuter parking into Westmorland Road, Lower Boyndon Road, Clare Road, Underhill Close and Woodcote. With further impact on the parkining near All Saints and Rutland Road.

Longer term with the development of Cross Rail, Rail Track are under no obligation to provide additional parking for these City Services, once again we will have more commuters wishing to park.

In a nutshell we have an immediate problem and a more profound one looming.

Do we need a plan?

Olympics Parking Plan

Room for 1,400 parking spaces for the Olympic Games available in 2012. Suddelnly there is parking space in Maidenhead for the games, why is there an urgency for this parking getting so much notice now when there is a growing need for parking spaces already.

Surely the Olympic Legacy of the 2012 Games can include this project, the parking space from the Sainsbury Development has been left idlle for years, this is a great opportunity for the Royal Borough to build and retain for the community a new asset.

This would provide affordable parking for the workers in the town centre and those that commute by train to London, Slough and Reading.
